Job Description

GDH is seeking candidates for a Project Specialist position located in RTP, NC to provide general support for Project and Program Managers.

Role & Responsibilities

Support project delivery by contributing to the integration and alignment of projects and/or tracks of work within and across functions as required.

Track success metrics and continually ensure the overall portfolio is in alignment with pre-established success criteria and evaluate project progress and results against overall Portfolio metrics.  All of this will be executed in partnership with Project and Program Managers.

Use tools to assist with assigning resources to projects, performing cost and revenue forecasting, validating accurate project setup and assisting with project closure.  This is a junior position with the opportunity to grow into a Project Management Role for career progression based on demonstrated success in this role.

•        Work with constituent project managers on all process areas initiating, planning, executing, monitoring and controlling, and closing


•        Quick Learner along with the ability to work independently


•        Assist with the overall portfolio management, assures, and controls financial quality


•        Ability to work on and solve problems with high complexity


•        Ability to collaborate on key issues that often involve cross functional coordination


•        Strong communications skills (written and oral) within team and to stakeholders.


•        Ability to accomplish goals and objectives in situations with little or no functional authority


•        Excellent Organization and Time Management Skills


•        Excellent soft skills including the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing


•        Enjoy working with financial accounting and reporting solutions


•        Attention to detail and a sense of urgency


•        Demonstrated experience using advanced Excel functions, Smartsheet, and reporting tools


•        Awareness of PMI best practices in Integration, Scope, Time, Quality, Communication, Risk and Procurement Management. - Strong basis to obtain PMP

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Bachelor’s Degree (please include graduation year on resume)

Minimum GPA 3.0 (please include GPA on resume)

Advanced degrees and PMP preferred
